With 35 years experience as a machinist, Buddy Hilbun opened his own shop from his home in Louisiana in 1999. Catering to his customers' specific needs, Buddy does custom machine and lathe work, and has been making Steel Guitar Bars for over 10 years. Encouraged by happy customers and fellow musicians, Buddy has since focused his efforts toward creating custom guitar bars and slides of unsurpassed quality.

A full-time housewife, mother of two, and fan of good, country music,
Pat and her husband Buddy, decided to return to Louisiana after living
in Houston, Texas for over 30 years. Returning to Louisiana to run their
own machine shop has fulfilled a life-long dream.
Jerry
Wayne Hilbun
A singer/songwriter/musician, and Texas A&M Graduate, it was over 10 years
ago that Jerry Wayne had a good idea while listening to the Grand Ole
Opry with his father. The idea was to make custom Steel Guitar Bars and
give them to local musicians in Texas to get their feedback. As Jerry
Wayne toured with his own band, he did just that! Word spread about the
custom bars that felt good in your hand and made a sweet sound. There
were even reports that the bars had been swiped off of the stage during
a country music concert at the Texas State Fair. Says Jerry, "Those
in the music business were complimentary, saying, 'I've got to have one,'
and, 'I'd like to try it'. It seems our bars have made quite an impression."
